02 Jan Eastern Shore Wedding Venues
- select a venue that aligns with your aesthetic and vibe
- know your guest list (and possible limitations)
- set a budget
- ask questions about the venue, a planner can help you with this
- stay true to yourselves and be wary of trends
Here are a few venues I absolutely adore; some are new, some are old and some are hidden gems. This list has been carefully curated with different bride styles in mind, the main theme being they are all timeless and classic.
Through the years, the mansion has been furnished with carefully selected antiques of the period to make it the unique venue it is. The ballroom boasts two grand pianos, two working fire places with original marble, hand crafted imported carpets and beautiful lighting. The mansion continues to host many charity events and now, reopens its doors to weddings and other celebrations. The hotels, restaurants and nightlife of Ocean City, Maryland are close at hand. The area is rich with water sports, fishing, birding, beautiful golf courses and both antique and outlet shopping close by. Merry Sherwood is a personal favorite not only for the history but for the uniqueness it offers. The property boasts stunning grounds for the perfect outdoor wedding and a gorgeous 8 bedroom home for your #bridetribe. It’s really the perfect spot to host your entire wedding weekend from rehearsal dinner to reception to farewell brunch. It’s a must-see!

A long-time Eastern Shore tradition, Green Hill offers countless venues to say your “I Do’s”. The property offers a premier location situated on the Wicomico River with panoramic views for amazing photo opportunities. Imagine exchanging vows on the perfectly manicured lawn with breathtaking views of the river. After the ceremony, create your own magical space under a tent, under the stars or in the River Room- an authentic ballroom type setting . For a more rustic fete, the charming barn is suited perfectly. A few notables include use of golf carts for the bridal party, dressing rooms, and back up locations of outdoor events. Social and golf memberships are also available so perhaps you may want to #jointheclub.
